Add a wild, magical experience to your Central Oregon getaway with a ride behind a real dog sled team! Stay snug and warm in the sled while the team led by professional mushers take you on an exciting adventure along snowy tree-lined trails near the slopes of Mt. Bachelor.
STANDARD TRIPS
Approximately one hour of orientation and trail time, including an option to participate in the care, watering and feeding of the dogs after the ride!
Available Thursday through Monday starting in Decemeber 2024 at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. All sled dog rides depart from the lower Sunrise Lodge parking area. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time to check in and meet your musher and sled dog team. Children must be at least 3-years-old to ride in a sled.
Children ages 3 to 12 years old must ride with an adult. No more than (3) people per sled (two adults and one child) for a maximum weight of 450 lbs per sled.
No Marathon or One-Hour Trips offered on Christmas day

Marathon Trips
Available Thursdays and Fridays only, these 26-mile trips give you a majestic ride to Elk Lake, a delightful lunch* and your return trip. Check-in time is 9:30 a.m.
OR Join us for a training run with the race team!
Available Mondays through Wedendays only. Our race team training runs follow the same route as the marathon trip only this time you’re in for a speed run down the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway with our fastest dogs as they train for our 2025 racing circuit.
Check-in time is 9:30 a.m. No lunch provided.
Marathon Trips and Training Runs with the race team are not offered during the holiday periods listed below.

Field Trips
Bring the classroom or the troupe for a short demo ride on our “puppy loop.”
We also offer special pricing on the standard loop. *3 children and 1 adult required per sled.

Rates for any 2024/25 Standard Trip, starting December ‘24, apply to bookings made on or after November 25, 2024.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 48-hours or more from the scheduled trip time will receive a 90% refund to the original form of payment.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled trip, however guests may opt to reschedule their reservation.
No-shows will forfeit the option to reschedule their reservation and will not receive a refund. Refunds will also not be issued for pre-season voucher purchases.
