Half-Day Marathon Tour

A truly inspiring ~26 mile “marathon”. On this trip you’ll be joining a 12-dog race team as we head out into the Cascade Lakes region and down to Elk Lake Lodge. Once the team delivers us safely to the lodge we’ll stop to feed the dogs before heading inside for hot chocolate and a lovely lunch. This half-day trip usually takes around 4 hours and is suitable for winter lovers who enjoy an escape from the typical hustle and bustle.

Available Thursdays and Fridays only

*Please meet 30 minutes prior to your tour start date. Parking will be provided for you near our cabin in the Lower Sunrise Parking Lot at Mt. Bachelor.

If Thursdays and Fridays don’t work for you, Join us for a training run with the race team!

Available Mondays through Wednesdays only. Our race team training runs follow the same route as the marathon trip only this time you’re in for a speed run down the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway with our fastest dogs as they train for our 2026 racing circuit.

Check-in time is 9:30 a.m. No lunch provided.

Mt. Bachelor Tour

Join us at the Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort for a one hour tour and introduction to the adventure of dog sledding. Your tour will begin by meeting each fun-loving (and really cute!) canine athlete on your 8 dog team. Following a quick tutorial of the sled itself, the dogs will power you along down our 5 mile trail that winds through the forests near the base of the mountain. This tour is suitable for dog-lovers age 3 to 103.

Available Thursday through Monday

Timeslots: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and

12:30 p.m.

Children ages 3 to 12 years old must ride with an adult. No more than (3) people per sled (two adults and one child) for a maximum weight of 450 lbs per sled.

No One-Hour Trips offered on Christmas day

Run Your Own Race

For those with an interest in dog racing without the ability to maintain their own kennel, you may pay a weekly training fee and a daily racing fee. We provide:

  • Minimum of 1-2 weeks on-snow training, during which you will learn how to care for and handle sled dogs, and how to drive a dog sled.

  • An assessment of your abilities to determine what style of racing and which dogs are appropriate for you.

  • Weekly training updates.

  • A well-trained, healthy and enthusiastic race-ready dog team.

  • Dog truck, all necessary equipment, and a handler for each race.

Fees do not cover race entry, transportation, or lodging. Fees are not refundable. Race success is not guaranteed, but adventure is! Call for more details.
