Lead Dog Sponsorship

A good lead dog can make or break the run. They’re essentially the “brains” of the team and set the tone for everyone else:

• Position: Front of the team (one or two dogs).

• Role: Set the pace, follow the musher’s commands, and choose the right trail — especially in poor visibility or tricky terrain.

• Traits: Intelligent, focused, confident, and responsive to voice cues. They need to think independently but still work as a team.
